How The Blonde & The Bay Came To Be

DSC01000.JPG

Ten years ago, The Blonde & The Bay was born from a small thought to create a separate space where I could freely share horse related content without bombarding my non-horsey friends. My online journey steadily began to blossom as I posted about our adventures, lessons and insights. Through honest depictions of my personal riding experiences, The Blonde & The Bay attracted the attention of other equestrians within our community. The rest, well, is history.

Horses are a childhood appreciation, and once I slid my foot into the stirrup at the tender age of 3, I never looked back. I am 31-years old now. My dressage career stems to 2004 alongside my Welsh Pony, Brightwood. Much has changed since, but my love for dressage has remained untouched. I am a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist. My heart horse and centerfold behind The Blonde & The Bay is Ulfilia DG, lovingly known as "Leah."

Leah is now fully retired from her FEI competitive days, and since December of 2019, I have taken an "untraditional" route within the dressage world by training and competing Quarter Horses. My husband, Barrett, is a team roper and together, we own three mares, and three dogs. We live in Central Texas. I love equestrian fashion and the color pink, if that wasn't already obvious.

My content is my own personal definition of art. In addition to journaling about my training wisdoms and life around our barn, I am proud to collaborate with some of the top companies and brands within our equestrian space. The Blonde & The Bay is my passion project.

READY FOR WHAT'S NEXT?

 let's work together!

When you work with me, you are placing your product, your brand, into the creative vision of someone who truly understands their audience.

I don’t think of myself as just another “influencer,” but rather, I think of myself as just another horse-loving woman who simply adores sharing her journey.
